A fun binary codebreaking worksheet in which students decode mathematical questions and reveal a joke punchline.
Students convert 5-bit binary numbers into denary and use A=1, B=2, … Z=26 to uncover each question. They then solve the question and convert its numerical answer back into a letter. The eight letters reveal the answer to the joke: “What did zero say to eight?”
