An investigation where students compare primary and secondary school books using a tally chart. we did this over a couple of lessons one in class and one in IT. Tally charts can be quite dry but this investigation went down well and had some surprising results for books which had a long word repeated. The IT part also allowed them to use composite bar charts which looked great. In that lesson the students really showed off their IT skills. I haven't reviewed the flipchart before posting as I can&'t open it at home but thought it might be useful.

An investigation based upon the obsolete coursework task 'Read All About It'. Gives pupils clear instructions. Easily adaptable for other resources e.g. tabloid compared to broadsheets. Thanks for sharing.
