This is an outstanding lesson based on building an analysis of a poem. The lesson focuses on building the explanation part of the PEE structure and getting pupils to analyse how and why techniques are used. This lesson is based on Tony Harrison's poem 'Long Distance' and the clip used is from The Lion King (this is hyperlinked to the think-pair-share images).
