Randomised Controlled Trials (RCTs) are increasingly being used, in England and beyond, to feed into the growing interest of ‘Best Practice’, ‘Building Evidence Into Education’, ‘What Works’ and ‘Knowledge Transfer’. RCTs are but one approach that can be used to help assess the efficacy and effectiveness of an intervention and so to help evaluate an RCT in education, you need to get answers on a number of questions. These resources are derived from Earl-Slater’s excellent book and will save you time and money. They give you a collection of headline questions and issues to consider when faced with evidence from RCTs. Suitable for all school staff, school governors, parents, government, researchers and various students.
