This will take around 14 lessons to teach (50 minute periods) - however can easily be cut down or expanded.
It is aimed at pupils in the S1 e.g. aged between 11-12 however again can easily be differentiated to fit years younger and slightly older.
Tasks include: Timeline; Cartoon Strip; Word of the Day; Introduction to sources; Pictionary; Drawing & annotating; Planning a castle raid/defence; Group work jobs with pupil lead presentations.
Everything you need to teach these lessons are on the Power Point except the jobs sheet.
There is a strong link to Scotland here however easily adapted to fit your local area.
