This is the first in a series of lessons about the causes of the war of Independence looking at the different laws and acts that the British implemented and how the colonies responded to these.

For higher ability students you could take the questions off the source analysis and just leave the arrows pointing to the areas of importance.

I have purposefully left out the Boston tea party as I cover that in a separate lesson
