Hey guys!

This is a quick-no frills reading and writing activity for students in grade 7 and above on “Lamb to the Slaughter” by R. DAHL. Awesome printout for teachers looking to practice reading and writing comprehension using short stories.

If you don’t know - The short story covers the actions of a housewife following her husband’s news.

Dahl is best known for his longer works, such as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda, and James and the Giant Peach. This story, however, is a bit darker and intended for a slightly older audience.

In addition, this also works great with ESL-EFL-TESL students who need to improve their reading, writing and comprehension skills!

The package includes

R.Dahl’s Lamb to the Slaughter
New words and expressions
Sentence creation using the new words
Multiple choice and long answer section
Freebies located at the end of the package
Optionally

You can cover the entire package as a class
Use the package as a reading, writing quiz
Assign this package as homework
Incorporate group work and transition into class discussion

Happy teaching
