Differentiated worksheets based on literacy strategies for the Literacy Continuum (Australian DET teachers can access the continuum at http://www.literacy-continuum.det.nsw.edu.au/Matrix). Cluster 9-10 was for the lower ability students in my Year 8 class, cluster 11-12 was for the higher ability students. In essence there should be four groups, one for each cluster - but in the bottom Year 8 class this just wasn't manageable. I used literacy activities most Fridays when my class wasn't in a lab.
