This resource is designed for KS4 students taking the Higher paper.
The resource consists of two lessons with a worksheet for each. The first lesson looks at using the Cosine Rule to find lengths and the second lesson to find angles. There is an emphasis on identifying when the Cosine Rule can be used given the information available and an emphasis on learning how to adapt the Cosine Rule depending on which length or angle is sought or on how the triangle is labeled.
The worksheets include questions involving algebra and bearings.
