Developing analysis - 9/11 speech (KS2/KS3)

Using George W. Bush’s speech given after the 9/11 attacks, these resources will help your students to improve the structure and precision of their analysis / close reading.

I created these resources to use over two one-hour lessons, but that scope can be easily extended or reduced as you like. There are also suggested homework or extension tasks, and model answers.

• Unparagraphed text (for students to insert paragrph breaks)
• PowerPoint with short retrieval activities to activate prior learning, learning intentions, a range of activities and models.
