When students have a visual that can be translated into words then they are on the way to it becoming automatic (ie crawl, walk, run not crawl then ask them to run a marathon by memorising everything!)
To practise doubling, the numbers to 20 are shown with dots, the numbers to 100 are shown with words eg
27 with space to write working out ie 27 (2 tens 7 ones) doubled is 4 tens and 14 ones and the final column is for their answer
The powerful learning in knowing the single digit doubles is that the size of the unit doesn't change the pattern eg 3 doubled is six whether it is ones, tens, hundreds, fifths etc
The blank columns with the dots are for a heading of other multiplications you may like to practise eg if doing doubling, do 4x and 8x or the other set is double, double +1 group for 3x and then 6x (double 3x)

Final page is doubling every number to 100 in random order.
