I holepunched the flashcards in the left hand top corner and joined them together with string. The students can then flip through the cards memorising the quotes. This should help a lot of the students provide the evidence to back up their answers.

This is a really useful collection of quotations. When teaching about quotations it is important to remind students that Christians are a huge community with great diversity. Not many Christians have ever read the Bible from cover to cover - so many of these quotations would be unknown to them (Jeremiah and Timothy for example.) Most Christians concentrate on the words and teachings of Jesus in the Gospels - and even then they interpret them in widely differing ways. So the quotations are importan to know and use in answering questions but that is not the way that most Christians would decide what to do about a particular topic or problem.
This is where Priests or Vicars etc come in. They will have studied Theology - which is the scriptures in the context of contemporary society and are likely to know the Bible fairly well. They may well give advice but Christians are not obliged to follow their advice.
The message of Jesus is one of love and forgiveness. That is most likely to influence the way a Liberal Christian responds to important questions, whereas a Fundamentalist who interprets the Bible in a literal way may actually follow the Biblical teachings when it comes to some of these issues.
Finally Christians are likely to pray to God or Jesus and listen to the voice of their conscience (Holy Spirit?) and ultimately decide for themselves what is right or wrong or what they should do in a particular situation.
Some mention of this diversity of interpretation and there being many different ways of being a Christian needs to be included in the answer in order to get the best marks - and in order to write something that is actually true and not fictional.
