French Adjectives Reference and Practice PPT

This editable PowerPoint is a useful resource for teaching and practising French adjectives at both KS3 and KS4. It includes clear reference material, practice activities and answers, making it suitable for use in class, for homework or for independent study. The adjectives used mostly relate to describing family and friends.

The first two slides provide clear reference sheets covering:

regular adjective endings and agreement
common adjective patterns
irregular adjectives
invariable adjectives
the position of adjectives, including examples of adjectives which come before the noun

The following two slides contain a range of practice activities, including:

Choose the correct spelling – selecting the adjective with the correct ending
Gap fill – completing sentences with the correct form of the adjective
Writing task – rewriting sentences, placing the adjectives correctly and making any necessary agreement changes

There is also a challenge activity for quick finishers, asking students to translate the final sentences into English and/or create their own sentences using adjectives.

The final slides contain the answers. These can easily be hidden in the editable PowerPoint or excluded when creating a PDF for students.
