Full SOL New spec Lang Paper 1 reading and New Spec Lit poetry

A full Scheme of Learning which particularly focuses on the development of students' ability to identify and explore language and structure. This has been delivered to Year 9 students, though would be appropriate for any KS4 group. Lessons are tightly focused on the new specification, through tasks/extracts related to Language paper 1 skills (language and structure questions 2 and 3) and poetry skills related to the new specification (Conflict poetry and unseen poetry). The SOL is intended to overlap, so that students can transfer the skills, exploring language and structure through a range of text types. The SOL includes printable resources where some lessons/tasks have been designed to be blown up onto A3 sheets back to back. Numerous tasks/activities were also set for home learning over the course of the SOL. Independent/assessment tasks are also included. Over 20 lessons adding up to more than 20 hours teaching time. Includes a range of differentiated activities throughout.
