I’ve used these articles in multiple classrooms with various levels of success. The time it takes to complete reading and class discussions is entirely up to you and can include pair discussion, classroom debate and comparing different environmental impacts students have seen.

If you’re a ESL or science teacher, this is a great introductory lesson for critical thinking, new language and exposing green topics.

There are multiple approaches you can use depending on your group. This works best with:

-Class/Individual reading + pair work
-Introduction to Environment and Economics
-Early-Mid high school students have also found these to be very engaging
