These PowerPoint led lessons guide students through the evaluation skills required for the Edexcel GCSE English Language 2.0 examination when responding to a 19th-century text. Learners will explore, firstly through film clips, how ideas, attitudes, and perspectives are presented, and will evaluate the effectiveness of language, imagery, and structural choices.
Using an exam-style extract, students will develop the ability to form clear judgements, support their opinions with evidence, and analyse the impact on the reader.
