Pastoral ‘Get to Know Me’
A six page pastoral resource designed to help pupils settle into a new school year, reflect on themselves as learners and give form tutors useful insight into the young people in their class.
The pack combines personal reflection with creative, low pressure activities, making it particularly useful for the first few tutor periods of the year, transition work or pastoral induction.
Pupils are encouraged to think about their previous year, their strengths, interests, challenges and what teachers can do to support their learning.
It also includes a focus on wider school involvement, asking pupils to reflect on extracurricular activities they have enjoyed, explore new opportunities and record the practical details they need to get involved.
The resource includes:
The varied format allows pupils to write, draw, colour and reflect rather than completing a traditional questionnaire throughout. This makes it suitable for pupils with a range of confidence levels and can help tutors begin conversations naturally rather than relying entirely on written responses.
Ideal for form time, pastoral lessons, transition days, induction programmes, the beginning of a new academic year or as part of a wider wellbeing and belonging programme.
Suitable for: secondary school pupils, particularly KS3 and early KS4.
