A starter lesson to introduce children to the Great Fire of London and the concept of source analysis.

There are a selection of ‘clues’ - sources - for children to analyse that tell them WHAT, WHEN and WHERE something important happened.

This could be an independent, partner or group activity - each set of clues in an envelope, after analysing one set, coming to a conclusion and explaining their conclusion (recording sheet attached) the children move onto the next clue.
