How have countries progressed in with the MDGs and SDGs?

This is a 2 lesson package which asks students to assess the progress different countries and regions have made with the Millenium Development goals and then the Sustainable Development goals. It can be used in class or for home learning and was written for both the IGCSE Global Citizenship and IGCSE / IAL Geography courses.

Worksheet 1: a reading comprehension to understand what the MDGs and SDGs are

Worksheet 2: using some online data. students gather data as evidence of how the country has met the MDgs. The resource is editable, so the teacher can change the countries as they wish.

Worksheet 3 : using online links, the students analyse which goals have been met, which have not been successful on a regional basis. Lastly, it asks students to select and research 2 countries for how they have progressed with the SDGs.
