PRINT INDIVIDUAL CHAPTERS FOR HOMEWORK
Each workbook chapter starts on a fresh page. The contents provides exact page ranges, making it easy to print a selected chapter for homework, independent study or classroom use.
The slides identify the relevant workbook chapter, task and page. Each chapter includes an introduction, a discussion or activity, and a suggested homework task with a review question.
ACTIVITIES INCLUDE
Definitions in students’ own words, political scenarios, research tasks, policy comparisons, group discussions, ideology maps, short written explanations, manifestos and reflective questions.
Students consider different perspectives, explain the values behind political choices and support their judgements with reasons and evidence.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
The activities give students opportunities to:
• Explain political vocabulary using relevant examples.
• Compare political perspectives and policy priorities.
• Identify relationships between ideas, institutions and participation.
• Assess claims using evidence and recognise oversimplification.
• Consider alternative interpretations.
• Reach and explain a reasoned judgement.
These skills support the development of knowledge and understanding, analysis and evaluation associated with AO1, AO2 and AO3.
