This resource supports students in the planning stage of the writing process. Its structure encourages students to plan with greater independence to build their confidence in their brainstorming and writing skills.

It covers:

  • Key vocabulary for information report writing
  • Sections organised according to a standard information report text structure (including title, key facts, visual aids, glossary, bibliography)
  • Space under each section for note-taking/planning

It is an editable document so teachers and parents are free to tailor and create differentiated copies.

It offers flexibility with content and a conceptual understanding statement so can promote student choice in an IB primary years classroom.

This resource is also suitable and relevant for KS2 students, learning under the British curriculum.
