These Mé Féin (Myself) matching cards are a fun and educational resource designed to help children learn and reinforce their Irish language skills. With 24 Irish words and phrases paired with their English meanings, these cards can be used in various ways, such as a matching game, flash cards, or to create an engaging Gaeilge display board. Children will enjoy the interactive nature of the matching game while improving their Irish reading and memorization of common Mé Féin vocabulary.

How to Use:
Matching Game 1: Lay all the cards face down. Players take turns flipping two cards at a time, trying to find matching pairs of Irish words/phrases and their English meanings. When a player makes a match, they get another turn. The player with the most matches at the end wins.
Matching Game 2: Put students in teams of 4. Give a pack of cards to each group. Teams then race to see who can match all the cards the quickest.
Flash Cards: Use the cards for individual or group practice. Show an Irish word/phrase and have the child or group provide the English translation. For added challenge, reverse the process and show the English meaning, asking for the corresponding Irish word/phrase.
Gaeilge Display Board: Create an interactive display in your classroom or at home. Attach the Irish word/phrase cards to a board, wall, or poster, leaving space for the English meanings. Encourage children to match the cards and learn from each other.
