Two Hundred years ago Napoleon began the return from exile which ended with his defeat at Waterloo. Napoleon wanted memorials to his magnificence constructed along the way (pyramids). Encourage your students to design a memorial to your mathematical magnificence at a location near to your school (I've nabbed Sloane Square so you cant have that...). This depends on your interest and relationship with the class but this has worked well for me for over a decade! Produces nice display work and will amuse you no end.

The shapes my pupils come up with depends on their ability - for lower sets we do cuboids or simple prisms, higher sets do complex compound shapes based on pyramids and spheres.

Tweak the resource to put our name and place near your school on it. See comments boxes on powerpoint slides for ideas to add to it.

I had a bit of a chuckle reading your slides. Love the idea of building a golden memorial in the middle of Sloane Square to celebrate your mathematical magnificence.
