This is a lesson to follow introduction of the nth term rule, which looks at pattern sequences. It is introduced as a contextual problem - a farmer who has to build a fence to separate his sheep from his goats. In this phase, students use mini-whiteboards to give their responses, before moving on to complete a worksheet (slides 18 and 19).
