Exam Stress – Year 11 PSHE Lesson
This lesson helps students understand exam stress, recognise its signs and symptoms, and explore practical strategies for managing pressure during the exam period.
Students will consider the causes of exam stress, reflect on their own experiences and evaluate a range of techniques to support their wellbeing. Activities encourage independent reflection and help students develop a personal action plan, identifying strategies they can use to prepare for exams and manage stress more effectively.
The worksheet works well as A3 but can be used as A4, a PDF and editable version are included, but the activities can also be printed off separately if preferred.
Learning objectives:
Explain what stress is and distinguish between helpful and excessive stress.
Identify the signs, symptoms and common causes of exam stress.
Evaluate practical strategies for managing exam stress and improving wellbeing.
Develop a personal action plan to manage exam pressure and prepare for exams.
Ideal for Year 11 PSHE lessons in the run-up to mock exams and GCSE examinations.
Hope this saves you some valuable planning time!
