Reception Literacy test (based on PIRA test)

In our reception classes we now have to test children with their reading and writing at the end of each term. In our school we use PIRA Assessment. The assessment i have made is very similar to the way the PIRA assesment.

I myself do not believe in testing reception children so young but that is the way most school seem to be heading.

The way I use this assessment is on the interactive white board… At the end of each day we go over a few slides, my main reason for doing this is so children get familiar with the way the questions are set out. So when they do the actual test they will be familiar with the questioning.
