Say What You See, A language decoding challenge

This presentation is designed to be used as a starter activity in English although it has been used in a thinking skills lesson and as an enjoyable tutor group activity. This presentation differs from similar paper led dingbat based activities in that it is designed to be fully interactive. There are 50 different puzzles that follow the same format. 5 blank templates are added at end of presentation to allow pupil creativity. A well known phrase is hidden in a “dingbat” style puzzle and the embedded 30 second timer encourages the students to think creatively to “decode” the challenge. The whole presentation contains 113 slides with hyperlinks embedded throughout.
