A successful reader needs a strong foundation of sight word recognition. These practical activities are perfect for students who have been introduced to essential sight words, but still need additional practice to help them reach mastery levels.

The purpose of these activities is to give students practice exercises using the most common sight words. The activities are based on the Dolch vocabulary list. The difficulty level increases gradually as students progress through the activities.

A list of the 220 sight words used in the unit is provided. The list of words are divided into five sections: A, B, C, D, and E. The activity pages are designated A, B, C, etc. to indicate the list for which they provide practice.
