To start off my lesson on simultaneous equations with one quadratic and following on from last week's lessons on straight line graphs I am starting off with them solving sim eqns graphically.
To save time I have provided them with the quadratic graph. This is only supposed to get them to realise the aim of doing it algebraically.
Once we had the solutions we then proceeded to solve them algebraically as examples (starting with Q4, then Q2 then Q1). We already knew what our solutions would be but this allowed them to understand the point of what we were trying to achieve.
Something went wrong, please try again later.
Thanks Tristan :)
Varied; clear layout; useful. Thanks
Thanks perfect for a revision starter
