Here is a PowerPoint that I have made which shows students how to solve simultaneous equations by elimination. It starts with some real life examples then moves into more algebraic methods. The examples gradually get harder; introducing negatives; the concept of adding equations to eliminate then multiplying equations before you eliminate. I have also included two ‘spot the mistake’ examples.
