This mat is very popular within my class. I have laminated it so the two parts are back to back. The first side gives support to find the sounds to write words. The second side allows the children to have a try at writing the words and builds into an individual word mat.

I love the facial expressions which I'm sure will enable my children to remember the phonemes!
The pictures don't relate very closely to some of the sounds. Or have I missed the point?
