This is a full lesson i did for an observation on stem cells.
I used information just found on google to put around the room and videos on youtube. I have not put that on here as i do not own it.
Starter - engaging questions to provoke thought
Then mind map to gauge what they already know
Show pupils video about stem cells and talk about the types of them.
Using the information around the room pupils fill in the advantages and disadvantages grid. The support sheet has extensions for higher and support for lower ability. For higher ability classes i made a question challenge corner about therapeutic cloning.

Mini plenary pupils went back to their mind map and added anything they learnt in green pen to show progress.
Main 2 - Discuss the ethics of stem cells - follow post it activity on PPT.
Plenary - Exit pass questions and self assess.
Suits new AQA 9-1 specification.
