A simple interactive whiteboard game designed in PowerPoint to develop early subitizing skills. Children say how many rockets they can see and click on the matching symbolic number.
This game will make an ideal whole class starter and links well to Spring Term Alive in 5! WhiteRose Maths planning. Different random arrangements of space rockets are presented (amounts 4 and 5) and children need to say as fast as they can how many space rockets they can see. This resource is easily editable and is 32 slides in length. This game may also provide a quick assessment tool to see whether children are able to subitize within 5 - a key early learning goal.
