This is a 7 day English plan for Year 2 children based around the book The Day the Crayons Quit by Oliver Jeffers. The children work on a range of different activities including speaking and listening, inference, diary writing and letter writing over the course of the unit of work.
Main objective focuses are:
- Participate in discussions about books that are read to them.
- Drawing on what they already know and making inferences on the basis of what is being said and done.
- To use different types of sentences in writing.
- Writing for different purposes.
- Proofread to check for errors in spelling, grammar and punctuation.
