This includes 30 multiple choice questions for ‘The Legal System’ section of the Citizenship GCSE. It is based on the information from the Citizenship Studies text book from Hodder and is useful for the OCR GCSE, but it would probably be useful for any exam board since it covers a lot of information on the legal system.
The answers are also included in two formats:
- one looks the same as the question layout but with the answer highlighted in red
- one comes as a table and looks like the mark scheme you would get from the exam board.
In addition there are five 4 mark questions that are linked to The Legal System. I have used the exam board’s specimen for inspiration for this mark scheme. It’s not an official OCR mark scheme, it’s just my interpretation based on the questions I have created.
Anyone who has ever tried to create a credible and stringent multiple choice test will know how hard it is and how extremely time consuming it can be! This took hours!
Many of you may have large departments with non-specialists teaching Citizenship, so I thought it useful to include answers/mark scheme.
