A worksheet to introduce KS3 or KS4 students to what to initially look for when they first read a poem.
There are questions on the sheet to prompt them to read the poem and then answer the questions including:
- What the poem is about
- Why certain words and phrases are used
- What the mood and atmosphere of the poem is
- Who the narrator of the poem is.
I have purposely left out the title of the poem, as I wanted my group to guess what the object ( the mirror) is.

thank you for this resource: its a great one. But the example of the words given are not in the poem, I think that this might be confusing.
