I have developed this 2026 FIFA World Cup map as a global location activity as all the students are absolutely buzzing about the World Cup at the moment!

I have made 5 A3 sized maps with different styles to suit different students and developing their map-reading, atlas, and geographical research skills.

Students can either use the provided country list in the resource sheet or independently research the competing teams online if there is access. I’ve included two maps minus the labels and annotations and these are included for teachers who prefer students to complete their own annotations, headings, borders etc.

This activity is suitable for secondary geography classes (or tutor group activities) and is adaptable for upper primary students.
