A scheme created for mid to high ability Yr7s. This covers the writing types: Inform, explain, advise, persuade and argue. It also includes a lesson on the features of a newspaper with a view to students creating their own school newspaper as an extended home learning project.
When trialed we found that each writing type took 2 x 1 hour lessons. This scheme does not include DIRT lessons, although we did add some in. There is, however, self and peer assessment opportunities throughout.

I really like this resource pack, however I cannot access the first powerpoint! It would be great if that could be fixed, as the rest of the pack is super!
