Y5 Narrative modelled example

I used this with my class- modelling each stage of writing a narrative. The structure of the week was something like this:
Monday- plan narrative
Tuesday- write beginning and build up (2 paragraphs) (draft on whiteboards first before writing in English books)
Wednesday- write problem and resolution (2 paragraphs)
Thursday- write ending and peer assess each other’s narratives
Friday- edit own work against the checklist (on slide)

Monday- write final draft of whole story with all the improvements.
