I’ve created this resource to help teach my class historical facts about life in the trenches during World War 1 (The Great War). There are 8 tasks for the children to complete using Minecraft. Hi, thanks for viewing. Here is a series of 4-5 lessons that cover place value. Over 80 slides. The slides support the teaching of mastery by starting with basic concepts and taking all the class with you as the tasks get trickier. These tasks are designed for children to use practical equipment to support their learning. The lesson activities include true or false Q’s, individual tasks, guess the number an build, connect four and many more. We have recently introduced double maths sessions with a break splitting them, this has given us time to embed concepts and use the correct vocab. It has also allowed the children to discuss Maths at length and these slides support this. You can use this as a 1-2-1, small intervention or whole class resource. This 1 more/less 10more/less hunt can be differentiated many ways. I have already differentiated it 5 ways for my own class and printed out the sheets on different coloured paper for each group to find. Once the children have found the coloured shape that they've been given they must solve 1 more/less or 10 more less depending on their ability. This interactive whiteboard game is fab! Boys and girls love it. I use this to test children's reading skills and use it to model sounding out words. The children must come up and drag car to the correct word. The children can also play in pairs and challenge one another. I have made 3 versions and one maths version using Numicon.
