I am a super dyslexic teacher, with a dash of ADD, all my resources are built with access in mind, because honestly, if they weren't I wouldn't be able to read them. Note the pastel tones, chunking and clear notation ques. As such my resources are also super easy to scaffold or stretch, and definitely easy to replicate. Please enjoy, and hang in there, at whatever school you're at, I can guarantee that those kids need you in their lives a lot more than you realise.

Brilliant lesson for year 7 particularly for them just getting the hang of BiG Skool expectations. The lesson walks you through idea that white light is actually split into different wavelengths, the human eye ony recognises three and our brain fills in all the blanks, by spinning spinner faster than our eye can recogise we can trick our brain into recognising white light. A colour printer is useful for low ability, but high abilities will LOVE getting thier fancy big skool colouring pens out. Be weird, be funny, be gross, have fun, play, stick to your routines and find that little spark of madness we all have and electrocute the class with it! My style of teaching isn’t for everyone, I’m a dyslexic teacher who’s heard it all, my lessons are all catered towards accessibility (because if they were not I’d never be able to read them myself). Everything is short sharp and to the point, I don’t believe in endless writing, reams of printing, spoon feeding diagrams or pointless activities. Every minute matters! Be sure to check out all my other resources, as a personal goal I intend to share all my resources at least once because hey, the government isn’t going to make it easier and we both know you are reading this way outside of your work hours. Enjoy, comment or rate if you can, but most of all hang in there, they need you way more than you realise!

Expanding on the Yr7 base knowledge this lesson goes through the differences between transveres and longitudinal waves, labelling diagrams as you go, I find this to be so much more fun if you have an airzooka for blasting the class with and a pocket laser and ray box for impropt demos as needed. Of particular use will be a prism to demo that light is mad eof different colours and wavelengths. A nifty little resource that guides students through refraction (not easy) you'll need a laser pointer or better yet a fancy looking laser (not for the kids) to get the best out of this, however the ray boxes they would use for the practical would work well also. An excellent lesson focusing on Electromagnets, it takes you througha simple practical, then expands on the variables (more coils etc) before reviewing everything. Very easily scaffolded or extended.
