This is my favourite optical illusion and it’s not well known. Could be used as an interactive starter in Physics, Biology or Art. I have used this several times for Science Week assemblies - a hall full of students audibly stunned at how their own eyes work. Strongly recommended.

The pdf file allows students to independently learn and practise the A-level series and parallel resistance equations. Students use this pdf file on iPads/ phones. The emphasis is on student independence in the classroom. You should be able to put your feet up while students teach themselves this topic for 10-15mins. The file contains 61 hyperlinked slides with lots of questions to test their learning as they go along. Think of it as a very interactive text book. Performance will vary through different apps and platforms. The Adobe Acrobat Reader is optimal on “single page view”, Outlook and OneNote are inferior. I selected 18 questions from the past papers to use with my year 13 class. All the answers are carefully presented. The difficulty is graded for every question ★★★☆☆ The formatting enabled me to use the questions on our remote learning platform. I tried to choose questions with interesting examples. So not the salad spinner one. In the 2020 lockdown I developed four interactive ebooks to help teach and test material for the Engineering unit. These are strongly recommended.
