Tes Safeguarding Training

Safeguarding training provides school staff, volunteers and governors with the knowledge and skills to protect every student in their care. Access to high-quality safeguarding training ensures schools are compliant with statutory guidance and empowers staff with the knowledge and confidence to recognise, report and act on safeguarding concerns.

Each module provides one continuing professional development (CPD) credit and you'll receive a personalised downloadable certificate to show that you've completed the training.

Each module is equivalent to one hour of CPD. For example, a one-module course will take one hour and a four-module course will take four hours.

We work with a wide range of expert partners who play a key role in contributing to, reviewing and endorsing our training to ensure it's always accurate, up to date and high quality.

Keeping children safe in education (KCSIE) is statutory guidance from the Department for Education (DfE) in England. Schools and colleges in England must follow it when carrying out their duties to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.

The DfE updates KCSIE every year to align with new laws, government policy changes and the latest research findings. This ensures all schools and colleges understand emerging safeguarding concerns, know what measures to put in place, and all staff understand their roles and responsibilities in keeping children safe.

Safer recruitment is ensuring that staff who are hired at your school to work with children have been suitably checked to help prevent children from being harmed while in their care.

Prevent Duty Online Training is meant to alert teachers to the possibilities of “non-violent extremism”. Staff are encouraged to lookout for warning signs such as withdrawal from social circles, abnormal behaviour or changes in vocabulary, which can be common indicators among young people.
