Kew Green Preparatory School

Kew Green Prep is a co-educational Preparatory School and Nursery for children aged 2 – 11 years old. Based in Richmond, we are located on Kew Green and our school site backs onto the River Thames and is next door to the world-famous Royal Botanical Gardens.

We pride ourselves in finding every child’s skill through the breadth of our curriculum. We offer children the opportunity to succeed, be recognised and be valued. Due to our size, we can say confidently that every teacher in our school knows every single child and that lends itself hugely to that feeling of warmth and closeness. As a London prep school we prepare our children for the 11+ and are academically ambitious for them, but we also are a true prep school where parents drop off their children and know that almost all their learning and co-curricular activities take place onsite.

As part of the Gardener Schools Group, there is a natural transition to either Kew House School or Maida Vale School, however, we are proud that our children receive offers from other top independent schools in London.
