It is absolutely essential that today’s children understand the importance of looking after our planet and what they can do to help protect it for future generations. At It’s Our Planet Too, our vision is for every child to believe that they have the power to protect our planet. Our Tool Kits For Eco Heroes are designed to help children learn and understand the world where we live and ignite their interest in protecting it.

Research suggests that both educators and young people care deeply about environmental issues and have a strong desire to protect our planet. Environmental issues such as climate change, decreasing biodiversity, habitat destruction and pollution are huge global issues, however the thought of teaching them can be intimidating, leaving many feeling overwhelmed. Our Tool Kits provide a comprehensive, cost effective and easy solution for educators. They offer hours of activities, news and information that gently explains key issues and links to the National Curriculum.

Our wild weather Tool Kit is packed with hours of fun activities to help you take action and save our environment. We’ll help you learn more about all the different types of weather and why it’s getting wilder. Before long you’ll be a weather expert…

Here’s what’s inside:

There a poster all about different types of wild weather and a weather wheel to make, a weather tree to help you record the weather every day for a year. There’s a recipe to make seasonal vegetable soup, our eco hero card features climate scientist Edith Farkas who helped discover the hole in the ozone layer and our I Spy card will send you off cloud spotting. You’ll find a postcard to help you start a campaign to keep our planet cool, there’s a guide to forecasting the weather and busting those weather myths, as well as a quiz to test your weather knowledge, a pledge card and 20 wild weather facts to wow your friends.
