This is a Web Quest and Essay geared towards 4th grade but can be used for 3rd or 5th based on the academic level of the students.

Average timeline would be 3-4 40 minute periods.
I usually use the "high" checklist for all students unless they have an IEP or have been absent/missed a day of the assignment.
