There are times when it is very useful to take students on an excursion . The problem is that many places are very distant. The other problem is keeping track of the students. The Medina of Fez is an ancient settlement within the city of Fez Morocco. I wouldn't recommend taking students through this settlement. It is crowded, confusing and visitors are easily lost within the ancient walls. So, this is a recollection of a walk through part of this Medina. You can observe the scenes and become part of the experience without having to cope with the confusion. This unit, which can stand alone, is about life within the Medina. In some ways it is a walk through history because the Medina, despite some "outside" inroads has remained much the same through several centuries. Enjoy the walk from the classroom.
