Adverbials for cohesion between and within paragraphs 2 resources

Resource themed around school uniform, 2 levels:
Level 1: Five pairs of sentences where children choose an appropriate adverbial from a bank to start the second sentence in the pair (contrasting ideas, cause and effect, addition).
Level 2: Five pairs of sentences where the second sentence only has the opening adverbial and children must complete the sentence appropriately.

Resource themed around discussion text: should children keep animals as pets? 2 levels:
Level 1: Children insert appropriate adverbials from a bank to create cohesion between paragraphs and within paragraphs. The type of adverbials needed in each paragraph is detailed (listing, contrasting ideas, cause and effect, addition, clarification) .
Level 2: As level 1 but there are no details about the types of adverbials required to fill the gaps.
