The focus of this lesson is to show students that within creative writing adverbs allow us to see more about a character/situation and how adverbs can change the tone of an entire piece of writing.
Students build on their prior knowledge of adverbs by working as a group to edit paragraphs lacking adverbs (you can differentiate this easily because as the paragraphs move on in the resource attached they get more difficult).
