An investigation where students have to look at the area of right angled triangles whose height is twice the base. Nice little activity for a higher ability group or good activity to talk about how to carry out a investigation with a weaker group.

A nice idea of teaching and consolidating pupils understanding of how to calculate the area of a triangle. As described above, could be used to start off an investigation lesson in to this or could be used as a starter with more able pupils.
